I had severe mitral valve stenosis and needed an urgent operation. South Africa was 5 times the cost of India/ I contacted MedWorld and within one week I was in New Delhi for my surgery. Emelda Kakunga – Lymphoma
My son has been unwell for about a year, in the process he has lost his eyesight. We kept on been treated for headache, malaria etc-finally when he lost his sight, Brain Tumor was diagnosed but the facilities to treat this were not available here in Zambia. Our family started exploring options to travel to South Africa for my son's treatment but it was very expensive and the response was also very slow, that is when a friend introduced us to MedWorld India. |
They made all the arrangements for us within 2 days and the estimated cost for surgery was also one third of that in South Africa. When we arrived we were taken to the hospital, had a very warm reception and all investigations began on the same day. Unfortunately it was found that he actually had a sinus tumor that was very large and it was pressing on the brain and that is why he had lost his sight. The tumor had also spread all over the body so surgery would not be beneficial. The doctors were excellent, explained everything to us and gave us the best option -radiotherapy. Even though he is not cured at least he is symptom free, his quality of life has improved and we are satisfied that we have the right diagnosis. Although my son could not receive timely treatment I hope that others will learn from our experience. I highly recommend the services of MedWorld India-all we did was to pack our bags and travel to India and then back home-rest all was taken care by them. All of the medical attention we received has exceeded our expectations. The surgeons are the most skilled in the world and are very comforting with their talks. They listen and understand the patient’s perspective very correctly. We are blessed to have used MedWorld India.

They regularly sent information to my children. They even assisted in our shopping as I did not want to go myself. Now that I am back home they are regularly following my progress with my local physician. While I was in India I met many other patients from Nigeria who had come for treatment to the same hospital on their own.
